Are you on holiday and need medical attention?
During these unprecedented times of high demand the practice is using an online consultation service called e-consult to help direct, give advice and treat patients more effectively. This also reduces the contact risk for our staff and yourself from coronavirus.
Step 1. Download the Temporary Residents Form GMS3W by clicking on the PDF document at the bottom of this page.
Step 2. Once you have filled in the form electronically please email the completed form and photo identification to firstname.lastname@example.org
Step 3. Please allow up to 2 hours for your form to be processed
Step 4. Please visit our website homepage and click on the 'e-consult' banner.
Step 5. You are now using our online service e-consult! Please fill out the simple online form to get advice and treatment if needed, by the end of the next working day.
Please be advised e-consult may advise you seek medical advice soon for certain symptoms. If so please call your surgery or attend the nearest A&E department.
If you are ill while away from home or if you are not registered with a doctor but need to see one you can receive emergency treatment from the local GP practice for 14 days. After 14 days you will need to register as a temporary or permanent patient.
You can be registered as a temporary patient for up to three months. This will allow you to be on the local practice list and still remain a patient of your permanent GP. After three months you will have to re-register as a temporary patient or permanently register with that practice.
To register as a temporary patient simply contact the local practice you wish to use. Practices do not have to accept you as a temporary patient although they do have an obligation to offer emergency treatment. You cannot register as a temporary patient at a practice in the town or area where you are already registered.
